our ladybug

Hello, I found your blog from the NewDay blog site. Emma Lael was one of the faces I fell in love with when I first found the site. I am so so glad to see that she is going to be in a family! What a gift!
We have 2 older children, 20 and 16 and adopted 2 toddler's, now going to be 5 and 6 yrs old. It's an adjustment. :)
It's not in God's plan for us to adopt again...yet. But I still pray for each of these beautiful faces every day.

make a difference

one day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking up and gently throwing it into the ocean. approaching the boy, he asked, "what are you doing?" the youth replied, "throwing starfish back into the sea. the surf is up and the tide is going out. if i don't throw them back, they'll die. "son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? you can't make a difference!" after listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. then, smiling at the man, he said, "i made a difference for that one."

i LOVE this story....emma lael is one starfish that was saved....would you consider saving a child from being an orphan?
