emma lael is very silly...she cracks herself up...she will start laughing....and we have NO idea wha she is laughing about...she will giggle giggle giggle until we are all giggling...i can see now how she's survived the heart defects she has she is a fighter...God has great plans for this little girl sky is the limit.

when we say "let's go" she immediately gets her shoes & socks and marches to her stroller...when we return to the hotel room she removes her shoes & socks every time...at new day we removed our shoes before proceeding in the foster home...i LOVE this i don't like shoes on in my house either...emma lael will fit in well in her new home...the clothes i brought are all to big....12 months fit her best...i can put my index finger to my thumb around her thigh that is how tiny she is....she has no butt...her back goes straight down to her legs...not even a tiny bump of butt...i bought her 4 pairs of shoes because none of the shoes i bought fit her... she wears a 4.5 infant shoe her foot & ankle are very narrow...gosh, they are so cheap.

she is very independent and she wants to do everything herself...mama sisler boot camp is going fairly well...she does test me often but when she is tired, wants to eat, go potty she wants mama...jenna said today that emma lael may want a ticket back to china in a couple weeks after being at mama sisler boot camp :)...she does listen well after being corrected...her biggest frustration is we don't understand her due to the language...as she learns english i image her frustration will decrease...i've only seen her actually cry with tears once when i took away her sunglasses because she threw them on the floor of the store...she's not done that again since.

went to a market today...they make 100% cashmere items...this man is hand painting the scarfs...they were very pretty.

street life in hohhot..fruit it sold on the street...it all looks so GOOD...we've not eaten any fruit off a street vendor....yesterday we saw a group of men shearing a goat then hang them up to sell...it was HORRIBLE...

POLICE station..funny thing is we've never seen a policeman...the traffic is awful if you ever needed a policeman i'm not sure he/she would ever get to you.

view from our hotel of the park...it is a large park...we've spent plenty of time walking around the park...it has little pods of carnival type rides inside the park...a lake...even a ferris wheel...yesterday emma lael and i rode on the merry-go-round she didn't want to go at first but after we got on it she liked it.

inner mongolia is known for knives...with many different stone, carving, sizes etc. this is one of the knives we bought today...horses represent the strength of the inner mongolian people.

emma lael and grammie watching fireworks last night...to celebrate moon festival...fireworks were HUGE much like the 4th of july at home...emma lael would say PONG PONG when they would go off...she loved them.

the day in DIET of emma lael...noodles...noodles...noodles and some more NOODLES...she has eaten some pork, chicken, fruit she loves yogurt also...we generally eat in teh room for lunch she eats ramen noodles i brought from home she loves them...she can eat one entire packet and drinks all the broth...i still don't know how she eats as much as she does.

we took her to the hotel pool today...they have a very nice kiddy pool...she played with her stacking cups from the bathtub...kicked her feet and then she grabbed a towel (small towel) she began to push on it...pull on it...drag it in the water...then she took it out of the water and began to wring it out...i think she was washing the towel...not sure but maybe she's seen nai nai wash her clothes that way.

she is gesturing with her hands for me to get in the water...i was sitting next to her but she wanted me to go in the pool...in order to get in the water you have to have a bathing cap...i didn't even wear a bathing suit to the pool i had no intentions of getting in the pool...it was a bit chilly for mama
