we went to the pumpkin patch with friends yesterday...emma lael loved it...she liked to swing can you tell ;)

PRAY for abigail

abigail is a little girl we met in china with an unrepaired heart defect...she had her surgery yesterday all was going well...this morning her mother called me very upset abigail isn't doing well...they coded her several times she's on multiple medications to keep her cardiac output sufficient...it doesn't look very good at this point... PRAY for abigail...i can't image coming home dealing with jet lag and being gone for 3 weeks and being in a hospital watching your new daughter fight for her life...PRAY PRAY PRAY

emma lael word of the day BALLOON...we are teaching her 1 new words a day...i'm sure she is learning more than 1 but i am focusing on 1 word a day...it is fun watching her learn so much...before she's given something i will say to her "what do you say" please or thank you is what i'm looking for...yesterday when i said "what do you say" she replied "what do you say" with a big grin on her face...it was so cute...being 46 now with a toddler has honestly been a breeze...she's made it very easy...she likes her car seat...she likes to go for a walk in the morning with sisco, ruby & i...she is trying new foods every day she eats a ton of food for her size... she sleeps all night...takes a 2 hour nap...is extremely patient...God knew what type of child an older mom like me could handle...she goes on oct.14 to the cardiologist we are claiming complete healing to her heart...i am waiting until she sees the pediatrician on monday for a referral for a dermatologist so we can have the pre-cancerous mole (this is what the doctor in china thinks it is) checked out....she's gained 2# YEAH...maybe she'll be into 18 month clothes soon ;) after i posted this i realized i'd already put this photo on the blog...my jet leg mind is still sleepy

emma lael is 100% a "girly girl" she always has a necklace or bracelet on...we've spent hours outside she is an "outdoor girly girl" she is doing awesome...i still am amazed how well she's adjusted to her new home & life...God has truly blessed our family with emma lael.

how to go up & down the stairs with help of big brother...she has always been very interested in garrett when we'd skype her...she went to him very quickly...he is so sweet with her.

emma lael and her new friend ruby...they are so cute together...she was a bit reserved at first with ruby & sisco after one day she is fine with them giving them kisses.

ruby & emma lael...our trip home went great...emma lael was a good on the 14 hour flight...she is such a good little girl...when we arrived at the atlanta airport friends & family were waiting for us with the letters E M M A...it was great to be home and see garrett and our friends.

emma lael watching ni hao kai lan...the first time she's watched t.v. (we think) she sat for about 5 minutes then she was ready to play with her toys...she repeated everything kai lan would say

we ate at a irish pub last night for dinner..owned by a man from ireland...very good fish & chips...kinda tired of chinese food...she would imitate what kent was doing so when he'd drink she would drink...if he put one hand down she would do the same...she would laugh and laugh...her personality is so cute.

river boat ride on the pearl river..was interesting...the water is filled with trash...the boat ride was smooth...food very chinese didn't eat anything...emma lael loved the boat ride and she loved the magic show clown
