Christmas

several snap shots from our Christmas....emma lael had a great first Christmas with us...she was the center of attention the entire time.

pigtails are BACK! i put emma lael's hair in pigtails after her bath yesterday...OMG she was so happy...she pointed to them and said "nai nai" her foster mom nai nai always had her hair in pigtails...she was all smiles...when she woke up this morning she pointed to her head and said "nai nai" i knew she wanted pigtails in her hair...the pictures speak for themselves she was so HAPPY to have her hair in pigtails...open of the simple joys of life PIGTAILS ;)

20 years

today kent & i celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary...we had a blind date on feb. 14, 1989...married on december 15, 1990...i couldn't of asked for a better father, husband and best friend...we've changed quit a bit in 20 years...we look older...hopefully wiser...have 3 great children...God is the center of our lives...we said we'd go to greece on our 20th anniversary God had a different plan He brought us a beautiful little girl named emma lael...we will have to go to greece on our 50th anniversary ;)

Christmas in Kentucky

emma lael meet several family members this past weekend...we drove to KY to visit kent's family...she found out that her daddy is a twin and uncle kevin and daddy look alike.

Christmas is all about Jesus

charlesia a friend of ours made this adorable outfit for emma lael (if interested she sells many beautiful outfits contact me at akgn1234@aol.com if interested) i put her in front of the Christmas tree to take a picture to send to charlesia...she raised her hands up and said "Jesus LOVES me" that is what Christmas is all about Jesus LOVES all of us no matter what we've done...no matter who we are...what you've done or haven't done...Jesus forgives ALL...i pray that each person who reads this knows how very much Jesus loves YOU!!! Christmas is different with emma lael...less santa more Jesus.... yes, santa is a part of Christmas...we've told her that it's Jesus birthday...we've said it so many times she now tells us it's Jesus birthday...maybe she doesn't get what Jesus is or what a birthday is but i know God is preparing her precious little heart for all He has in store for her wonderful life.

make a difference

one day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking up and gently throwing it into the ocean. approaching the boy, he asked, "what are you doing?" the youth replied, "throwing starfish back into the sea. the surf is up and the tide is going out. if i don't throw them back, they'll die. "son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? you can't make a difference!" after listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. then, smiling at the man, he said, "i made a difference for that one."

i LOVE this story....emma lael is one starfish that was saved....would you consider saving a child from being an orphan?
